The particular mind of the ocean,
Filling the coastlines longing
With such brief harvest
Of elegant, vanishing waves
Is like the mind of time
Opening the shapes of days (John o’Donohue)
So next Saturday, lots of water and a time to make some maritime history, there will never be another 24-01-2014!
A voyage with the emphasis on time on the water. 12.30 – 16.30 hours with the possibility of a brief stop at Emsworth or the Ferry. May I take this opportunity to encourage new/occasional rowers who have been on a few Sunday club rows to come along and try a longer row.
It is essential that you wear suitable clothing including a waterproof top and if possible some bottoms and wellies. In addition a hat, pair of gloves and a few spare layers in a waterproof bag. Please bring a small bottle of water and a snack bar or similar. Also £1.00 for “pin money” which we collect from all rowers to help fund the boats. Also money for a drink and snack if we stop off somewhere.
If you have any questions please contact me and if you are under 18 please ask a parent or guardian to call me before Friday pm.
