Afternoon Row 27 Jul

Paul Bennett
I am posting for next Sat (27 Jul) for an excursion row in what promises to be near perfect conditions.
Let's meet at 1600 and perhaps go West through the bridges, returning in time for a drink at the Royal Oak soon after 1800.

Great response - thanks.  16 rowers, so probably 3 big boats.  See you at 1600 tomorrow.

And since you now have enough rowers for rotations, would you please also include me Paul? Thanks, Nigel.

Re: Afternoon Row 27 Jul jam makers!

...for those coning down this afternoon, if your interested, the Mulberry tree in my front garden is full of ripe fruit the black ones.
Help yourselves to some as I can't do anything with it this near.
Mulberries make great purees and compote... slight bitter, unique taste.
They bleed and stain so thin gloves and containers...
I'll leave out a step ladder (your own risk). But the traditional way to harvvest then is wth a sheet and shake the branches.
.
Leave the yellow, orange and red unripe ones , they will turn black next week..
Mike
