Anyone fancy taking out a Teifi, Tuesday/Thursday?

I would like to go out in a Teifi on any or all of the above days, probably commencing circa 9-00,  9-30 respectively. Would anyone else like to come out in the other Teifi to make my trip "legal"?


 I realise that Ron and Cheryl are already booked for Wednesday and if they (and/or anyone else who wishes to use the Teifi) are not intending to use the other Teifi, would like to use it on the Wednesday.

Please let me know on this thread on the forum.




Etr on all trips is circa 2.5 hrs after meet time. Route as in previous exercise trips, I.e. N,SwD,NEH, N, Tye,M and back. HW 10.36 (11.48 Thurs). Listening on 08 & 14.

Nigel...when do you think you will be back? If you aim to get back before about high water at 1030 can I take the boat from that time? Either Alison or Jackie could come out then as well.

Tuesday and Thursday are already taken so I have two suggestions if you are keen on a row (and I'm sure you will be OK in a Teifi).
The first is to contact Ron and Cheryl and see if they are happy for you to go along with them in the second Teifi on Wednesday. Weather should be quite good.
The second is to go out with me ( or any other companion rower who wants to row) on Friday. I have a prior commitment on Friday ( which is why I didn't post for that day originally) but could make it down to the boatparh for about 1 pm at the earliest, to go out for a shorter row just after high tide. It may be cooler, and wet, on that afternoon so I think the Wednesday option will make for a nicer row!
I will keep an eye on Ron's post for the Wednesday row to see if you sign on there.

Hi Chiris,

I'm free to row tomorrow (Tues) too as well as Thursday - I'm owed some (a lot!) of time off from work. If  Nigel and Phil are back in time for us to have a bit of a spin around high water I'll come down. We'll need to allow time for sanitising/hygiene protocols between the rows. I'll keep an eye on Nabble to see what transpires...

Jacky, due to the extra rows Chris inserted today (Tuesday) Alison has kindly offered to stand aside on Thursday if required, if you would like to row then. Perhaps we could even fit both of you in on that day. Friday is now out (wind is above safe operation of Teifi). Let me know asap and we can see what can be organised.

I and possibly my family would like to go out on Thursday at 0930. We will be back by 1200 allowing someone else to take the boat out if required (HW is 1150).

...you just beat me to a suggestion along those lines, Chris!
 In fact I was going to suggest a slightly earlier time! I'm sure that Jacky would be amenable to an 11 o'clock changeover, and if she would like to extend her row she can continue on, in your safekeeping, and I'll buzz off home to do some of the jobs I've been trying to put off!

P.S. I've just realised I didn't include my home/ emergency contact number in the initial post - if required the club membership sec. will supply it to anyone needing it.
