Arrangements for Celtic event TODAY - UPDATED

Hi all,

We are Boat 4 in all the races. So we are in the second set of boats to go off and will be racing the Chichester CYC crew in every race.

Simple version of timetable

09:30 1st Race SPRINT COURSE - Ladies
10:00  2nd Race SPRINT COURSE  -Men
10:30  3rd Race SPRINT COURSE -Mixed
11:15  4th Race  LONG COURSE  - Ladies
12:05  5th Race  LONG COURSE  - Men
12:55   6th Race LONG COURSE  - Mixed
13:40  Last Boat of 6th Race expected back
           Get all boats tied off; crews/coxes/support back to ISC

There will now be 6 races in total, Ladies, Mens and Mixed over both Short & Long Courses
For each race boats will be started in pairs, 2 minutes apart, 6 boats in total.
 
The Ladies know who is doing the long race and who is doing the shorter one.
The Men's crew will row both
The Mixed crew will row both but with Nigel rowing in place of Mike in one of them and me or Matt coxing.

Both courses are out and back from the jetty at Itchenor Sailing Club, with one 180 degree turn at the half way point
The Short Course is max 1km
The Long Course is max 3km
There will be 6 Celtic Longboats so there will be three 2 boat races per category.

The club will be open from just after 8am for those early birds, with the first waves of boats away just after 9.30am.
Teas, coffees, breakfast and lunch will also be available from at the club

Please remember to bring a lifejacket to wear on the jetty/pontoon.

Please be at the main public slipway at Itchenor ( end of the main street ) to help us launch Sweare Deep at 8.30 on Saturday. Some of you will need to jump into the boat and row her round to the Sailing club. There is a public car park on the left just before the Ship Inn.

Please could I have four volunteers to meet Tim and I at the boatpark at 3pm on Friday to get Sweare Deep onto her trailer and round to Marilyn's house so that we can hitch her up on Saturday morning. Post below if you can help.

Let me know if I've forgotten anything!

So sorry, got my dates mixed up and just realised I’m in London on Friday, so can’t help now. Happy to help out in any way on Saturday after the racing though

And you will need a jockey-wheel monitor as well on Friday! See you there to help(!?).
Note: On Saturday Mike and I will be driving from Langstone so could save you the trip over from Emsworth by towing S..D..
