Hi Guys,
Where to begin? First and foremost, we would like to wish you all a merry , peaceful Christmas and an immensely happy, productive and memorable New Year. 2018 has been pretty much a blur for us, as we appear to have lived ten years in one. We developed, built and ran two new business. We enjoyed many a wonderful day out and had some great holidays. We sold two houses and bought one, which is going to be our new home from home, and we are both very excited by the potential that this new challenge holds for us. In brief, we have had enough of the pace of life and traffic chaos in the South for many reasons and fell in love with the Snowdonia National Park during our two recent holiday visits. We stayed in a remote cottage at the foot of Manod mountain and life in North Wales lacks the mayhem and frenzied madness which prevails in the South. To cut a very long story short, we are moving home and office/s to Bala commencing Thursday 27th December and completing the transfer on New Years Eve. New year. New home. New life. We have some wonderful and very fond memories rowing on, in and around our stunningly beautiful harbours, which we will treasure. We will be coming down to the South Coast regularly, to visit friends and family and hope to see you all during the Spring, summer and Autumn. Things have been so hectic this year that we haven't even managed to get out in a boat since September which is nowhere near good enough. Now that we live next to the largest lake in Wales and are just a 35 minute drive to Barmouth's beautiful estuary, we will be back on the water in 2019. Wishing you all a super New Year and many, many thanks for your friendship, guidance, support and camaraderie. Thanks for everything. Until the next time. Be happy. Be healthy. Be safe and be lucky. Best & Yours, Andy & Wendy McTaggart 53 High Street, Bala LL23 7AF OR as we Welshman might say: 53 Stryd Fawr, Y Bala, Gwynedd, LL23 7AF Hwyl fawr |

Hi Andy n Wendy.
Well done for getting through a difficult year so well. Good luck with your new adventures in 2019. I’m sure we will see you on the water somewhere. All the best Les 🌊🚣♂️🚣♂️🌊 😘😘 |
Hi Andy and Wendy
Just to say all good wishes for the move to Bala and hope you soon settle in up there. Thank you for all you have done for the club over the years and in particular for organising the rowing diary. I note you have done the January rota too thank you. As you will no longer be down here can I suggest that I find another person to take the rowing diary over from end January as I think it will be difficult to do from a distance. Happy Christmas and all good wishes for the new year in Wales Richard |
Hi Richard,
Many thanks for your thoughts and best wishes. Yes of course, it makes perfect sense for someone else to take on the rowing diary now and I purely did the roster for January to give you all time to bed someone's new in. The best website for tide tables is tides4fishing.com which provides unlimited and unrestricted access to all areas including of course Northney. HW at Northney is later than either Langstone or Chichester Harbour listings and is the one which Mike and I both worked on. Wishing you and yours the happiest Christmas. Best Andy |

Hi Chris,
Many Thanks for your kind thoughts and words. To say that I / we will miss rowing on our fantastic waters would be an understatement, but we want a gentler pace of life, which living in the South is a very rare commodity, particularly when we are very actively working and running small businesses. Sincerest thanks goes out to you Chris for all of your patient input and support during what is now almost four years. We very much look forward to journeying South and rowing with you all in the spring, summer and autumn and wish you all a wonderful, happy and productive new Year. Best & Yours Andy & Wendy |

Hi Marion,
Yes. Thank You. We are surrounded by the most extraordinary places imaginable in the national park and when we are not unpacking boxes and fitting out the new home, we are taking in some amazing scenery etc. Haven't spoken to the guys at Barmouth yet who have two Celtic Long Boats , but hoping to find the time in a week or two. Be lucky, Be Happy , Be Healthy and hoping to see you soon and to join you rowing on those incredibly beautiful harbours. PS You must be stacking up a stunning photo collection of you new surroundings amidst those big beautiful skies. Love Us A & W x |

Hi Matt,
Life last years was insanely hectic for us, which is one of the many reasons why the people and the pace of life up here is absolute bliss. Hope this finds you well and thanks for your kind thoughts and words. Cheers, Best Andy & Wendy |
