CANCELLED - Excursion Row Saturday 8th June 14:30 + load galleys on to trailers

High water is 16:37 this Saturday so we will meet at 14:30 for a 2 hour row up the harbour in the lee of Hayling before returning to load the two galleys on to trailers in readiness for them being towed to Eastney for the Cockleshell Challenge on Sunday. Current forecast is for sunny intervals but quite windy conditions so please keep an eye on the post for updates.

If any Cockleshell rowers, who do not want to row on Saturday, are available just after 16:30, any help in loading the galleys would be appreciated.

Please sign-up in the usual way.

This row is now cancelled due to the high winds expected tomorrow. The remaining galley to be loaded will now be loaded on Sunday morning.

Hi Dee. Thanks. I think that the excursion row is likely to be cancelled based on lack of interest but more importanly, the weather forecast which is indicating strong gusts of wind. If that is the case, the intention will be to load the remaining galley on to the trailer (one is already on a trailer) on Sunday morning.
I will wait until 17:00 this evening, and will then post a cancellation if the forecast is no better by then.
