Dear Cutters
The Government have issued guidance which I am sure will turn into controls to try and reduce the spread of the Virus over the next few months . The situation will change and we as s club have to do our bit to try and reduce the risk of it spreading around our community For this reason and for the immediate future I am sad to say all organised rows , open Sunday Rows and gatherings have been suspended. The Government has set out it wants us to keep exercising but individually or within households so for many rowing is not going to be possible. However provided the Tifes are sanitised before and after each outing there is no reason why they can not be used for individual or household group rows and they will be available to experienced members . Persons using the boats should sanitise the oar handles before and after each row as well as wash hands in accordance with guideline. The Cutters is a social club and no one wants this period of enforced isolation to become a miserable experience for any one so we are looking at ways of using the Forum , Perhaps a Watts App group or other social media to keep all informed as to what is happening and keep in touch with each other . If anyone has any ideas or wants to contribute to entertaining our membership over this period please can you make suggestions I look forward to seeing you all again very soon Best Wishes and Stay Safe Colin |
Thank you Colin.
My thoughts are a Book group ? We choose a book for everyone to read, then discuss via email / WhatsApp ,? Or theres a few apps for scrabble / word games for group. |
