Carrow Cup, Norwich Dec 14

Chris Partridge
Administrator
The Carrow Cup is being held in Norwich on Saturday Dec 14 (see flyer below) and we hope to send a couple of galleys. The traditional boat race is attracting more and more interest and several boats familiar from the GRR will be present.
Once again, Lynne and Adrian Hodge have very generously offered to put us up at their home, with extra accommodation being available at the B&B next door.
The plan is to go up on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday morning.
Register your interest here!

Sadly, I can't go, but I have asked Mike Gilbert to take over organising.

It was a lovely event last year but a number of things prevent me from returning this year.

So with Chris and Hilary; Chris and Robina; Damian and Celia, Alison, Geoff, Colin and me we have a nice round 10... so 2 x Galleys and we are sorted....

The plan is to load boats on the Trailer Thursday evening 12th December - so we have enough bodies to lift the upper boat..

I will drive up Friday during the day and then rendezvous at the usual place for supper in a suitable pub.

After the race, I do plan to leave Satruday to get back for Clients rowing on Sunday... but Chris and Robina are looking at hiring a mini-bus to avoid too many cars going up and back... more later...

I was asked at committee about the minibus, but with only 8 of us
(Mike and Colin are travelling back Sat night) I'm not sure it would be worth it.
It's £60.00 per day. thoughts from all please.

Hello all,

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that I am unable to attend this years Carrow Cup event, as my work shifts have changed at short notice and I am now working that weekend.

Many apologies

Celia

I'd like to participate in the Carrow cup and am flexible about transport and timing of out-and-return.
Cheers

Hi,  As Mike and Colin are making their own way to Norwich on the Friday. And I believe Chris Penfold, Hilary and the Breams are driving there together on the Friday too, would the rest if you care to make up a car and go together? And if so, would anyone have a preference to drive?
