This is a 13mile race from the Clyde estuary into the heart of Glasgow passing old and new shipyards on the way. This has developed into a major event in Scotland of around a 100 entrants. Entry also includes a celidh onboard an old squarerigger. It's proposed to take up to 2 galleys with a maximum of 12 members. Travel up would be on the Friday before and return on the Sunday with accomodation in shared appartment/s of some sort to save costs. If you're interested could you post by the end of June please. Tom
Update 11/6/19
It appears there is an unexpected interest in going north over the border. The plan was to take just two galleys which means unfortunately that we can't take everyone so the list at present will be...

Hi Tom,
I think you may have missed a couple of people from your list. Jenny posted for herself and Dave and Marion posted after Jane. Unless you have more up to date info I think for now the list should look like this? Please do correct me if I'm wrong! I have registered two boats at a cost of £240 so I make that £20 each. I also calculate that the towing fuel cost will be about £30 per person.

Unfortunately I need to drop out of this event Tom / Rachel, I've paid the £20 deposit so the next reserve can refund me or make a transfer back please Rachel.
Hi all. Unfortunately I can't make this trip after all due to a long standing family commitment which unfortunately now clashes with it. With Dee and I unable to go I think Sue and Peter you are in!
Although I can't now come on the trip I am happy to help organise some shared accommodation for those who would like it. Could you post here if you fancy sharing a house or apartment with your fellow rowers please. Could you also indicate how long you would ideally like to go for, for example just for the event, for a few extra days, a week would be great, as long as possible. Perhaps best to post if you are sorting out your own too please so I know not to pester you!
Rachel
