I have received an email detailing the following event incase you guys are interested in rowing out there and joining in...
Big Beach Picnic and Kite Fly-in Saturday 7th June 2014
Bring your kite and a picnic and join us at East Head or Hayling Island Lifeboat Station to celebrate Chichester Harbour's 50 years as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There will be free activities at East Head from 11am like beach games and a dune safari; or you can bring your sketchbook and take part in an art workshop.
Refreshments also available including a hog roast.
You can come boat and anchor off East Head or maybe join cycle safety expert Fred Ellis for a family bike ride along Salterns Way from Chichester Marina to the beach. If you come by car, parking charges will apply at West Wittering car park. On Hayling Island from 12.30pm you can join us for a picnic at the Lifeboat Station. Simultaneous kite flying takes place at both locations at 1.30pm.
