Dear all,
You’ll be glad to hear that my naughty list no longer exists (with one exception…please see below), and I’ll be sending the details to the North Pole, to make sure that Santa delivers to all you good boys and girls this year. There are 47 of us confirmed for dinner, with around 10 people arriving later for drinks, who can’t make it in time for the meal. Should you know of anyone else who wishes to come – maybe some of your friends and families, or any newbies etc – no problem, but please could you guide them to sort it out and pay with the pub directly. Please can you also all remember to order directly with the pub for any bottles of wine you may require. The bar will be open and serving as normal on the night accepting both cash and cards, but all food is now paid for. We do have the pub to ourselves, with the possibility of a few locals joining us too. Unfortunately, I’ve had no time to sort out a band/music or party games etc. A few people have suggested they’d like them, but nobody took me up on my last request for help. So I’ll just ask again, if anybody has a bit of spare time and would like to sort out and arrange any entertainment/party games etc etc, that would be great and much appreciated as i'm really busy at the moment, thank you. I know you’ve all paid for your food, but seeing as the pub is putting on extra waiting staff and chefs (and it is our local), I think it only right that we have a whip round for the staff. So if it’s ok with you all, I’ll just put a tips pot on a table somewhere and you can feel free to put in whatever you think suitable (you may wish to try your food first though!!). If you know you live near some of the others coming, it might be an idea to sort out and order amongst yourselves a taxi share etc, as there are a few other parties on in the area (The Ship and the Lambrook Farm Pub both have big dos on that night too), please remember food is being served at 7:30pm. ….And no Len, I’m not ordering your taxi for you as well, you’re a big boy now and can tie your own shoelaces!! Lastly, as I said earlier the naughty list has disappeared - except for one name…..mine!! If you’re reading this Allison Kidd, I’m really sorry, but I’ve somehow managed to lose your menu choice!! Could you please reply to this post, call, email or send carrier pigeon to me ASAP with your choices again, thanks you! On the off chance Allison doesn’t read this, does anyone have her contact details, or if you see her could you let her know for me please (I will write a separate post for her attention too) – thanks. Other than that, lets hope you all get the food you've ordered and here’s to a great night!! Cheers, Matt |
I've asked a few band members I know locally but understandable they want paying more than we could afford so I'm sorry but will keep trying Matt . I wonder if they have a sound system for light back ground music ? If so I can supply the music 🎶

Hi Dee,
Thanks for your help and your idea. The do have a sound system that plays CDs, so if you don't mind putting a few christmas and other things together that would be great. Thanks you x |
No problem matey.

Who needs a band? Having been coerced to watch the Apprentice last night it seems that a singing mermaid is all you need for a good party. Perhaps Dee could be prevailed upon to do the honours!?!? If so another 'tips' jar would definitely be in order
