Hi to ALL budding Portsea circumnavigators/Portchester Castle picknicers/Tipner tourists, et cetera......

The Langstone Harbour Master has informed us that there will be work on the Eastern Road bridge with
scaffolding under the bridge.
                                               It will be closed to navigation.
    Work is expected to start at the end of this month and may last until October.

There are also improvement works to sea defences at Tipner during this period which may affect use of the Tipner Lake area.
         
Anyone intending to paddle around Portsea Island should check on the works before setting off.
!!!! >The portage option crossing the Eastern Rd on foot whilst carrying a Solent Galley above you is not recommended !!!
