Cockleshell Heroes Challenge at Eastney Cruising Association Sunday June 10th arrangements

This post was updated on .
We need to meet at Eastney Cruising Association at around 09:00 on Sunday to launch boats and be prepared for a Safety Briefing at 09:30, which we all need to attend. The race will start at 10:30.

Please bring a life jacket / preserver.

The ECA galley will be doing a quick-food option in the morning: bacon rolls or sausage rolls and a hot drink for just £3.50. Sunday Lunch is also on offer but can get very busy – if anybody would like a Sunday Lunch at the club, can they please book directly with the ladies at the galley in the morning. Guide price for Sunday Roast is about £7.50.

Parking is limited but ECA have made arrangements with Southsea Angling Club to use their car park. Post code is PO4 9LY.

I know Shanaz and Sue L have expressed interest in rowing a boat back to Langstone on the Sunday; I know Andy has also mentioned this. For information, you would not be able to arrive at Langstone until just before 20:00 due to lack of water. If you would like to do this, please reply to this post. There would need to be a crew of 6 for this as there will be lifting required at ECA and Langstone.

Please ensure you keep your eye on this post as arrangements are subject to change. If a crew of rowers does come forward to row one of the boats back on Sunday evening, a separate post will be created to cover the arrangements for that.

Cheers

Dave and Rachel

Happy to help with the row back but as Geoff will be with me , I may need to pop him home first

I do not have a life preserver.  Does the club have any to lend out.  Sue
