Correct gate maintenance

Please note that gates must NOT be greased. The grease holds grit and dust which rapidly erode the blue plastic inserts, making the round holes into ovals.
If gates are stiff or squeak, a splash of water from a water bottle usually does the trick.

Apologies - will clean the grease from the gates on Sallyport asap.     Do you have any nylon / PTFE  washers for the top of Lady's gates  as she's somewhat deficient ?

I will see if I can find some on Dolphin’s unused boats tomorrow.
Also, Sallyport’s gates are very over-pitched - you need 5s instead of 7s. Will try and locate them tomorrow as well.

Brilliant and thank you - are you over with the Dolphins all day?    Only ask cos if you're over at the mill a spot of advice / help with Sallyport would be ever so appreciated.
