Cox training

Rob Thomson
Hi,

I'm new to the club, really pleased to be joining, I'm a fairly competent rower. However, I'm currently on recovery from an operation. In a few weeks I should be fine to have a gentle start, but just have to ease back in carefully.

Could anyone help me train as a Cox in the interim?

Best

Hey Rob,
Good to see you over on the “blue” side bud, so glad you joined!!
Give it a few days and see the replies that come through, I can take you and a crew out for some cox training in the next week or so before my operation.
Matt

Hi Rob, it was good to meet you on Saturday. The best thing to do at present is put your name down for any excursion rows that are posted that you can do, just making sure you let the organiser know you would like to come along as a non rower at present due to injury and want to try coxing at first, I am sure when appropriate they will try to get you up in the coxes seat to start learning the ropes. Mention to them that you have rowed before with Dell Quay so they realise you are not a novice.

This weekend there is no row due to the tides but Chris Murray will be organising a midweek row.
