Early Sunday morning row - 2nd November - CANCELLED

Matt O’Neill
This post was updated on .
Hi all,
So tomorrow is looking like a pain all ways round… Depending which app you look at, it’s either going to be cloudy with F5-F7 winds, or it’s going to be raining?! 🤷‍♂️

Add to these to the fact that we only have 7 signed up (with some of those names coming a distance), for what’s going to be a relatively short row.
Sadly, I’m going to suggest we cancel, as I feel it’s not safe enough to take a big boat and then a Tiefi without a cox.

I liked John’s idea of going to Northney to put on some miles for the charity instead, however they only have 1 ergo, and already 2-3 people turning up at around 8am, so that’ll just be a lot of hanging around.

So, let’s be sensible, go off and enjoy your weekends, and let’s all live to row another day!!

Have a great one, Matt

Hi all,
Both tides and weather (windy and raining at mo.) not looking great for this weekend’s row.

However, best day for tides is Sunday
(High Tide 08:34 / 4.59m)

So, I propose an early morning Sunday row up the harbour - meet 8am, at the boat park for a row towards Verner, and then back for coffee and bacon rolls at the Ship Inn.

Please sign up in the usual way, but PLEASE also keep an eye on this post, as I’ll make a weather decision on Saturday morning to give you all plenty of notice either way, so as not to mess up your weekends too much.

Thanks all,
Matt

Hi Matt
Yes Please.  If cancelled due to weather why not all meet at Northney Marina office and put some miles on the charity row?

Hi Alison,
No problem, as long as they sign a waiver form please.

Still waiting to see what weather is doing, as looking windy (F5-F7 gusts) and possible rain….depending which site you look at.
Will make a final decision tomorrow, please follow this post.
Thanks,
Matt
