Egg Banjo Row Thursday 0800

Chris Partridge

Thursday looks nice, perhaps even sunny, with high water at 09.15. I propose rowing to Fowley Island for an Egg Banjo breakfast. Meet at 0800 for a prompt departure.
I will bring the cooking equipment, plates and so on. When you post, please indicate willingness to bring one of the following:
1/2 doz eggs
Sliced white loaf (preferably something really rubbish like Mother's Pride)
Spreadable butter
Everyone will need to bring a flask containing your morning tipple, be it coffee, tea or iced margarita (we won't judge).

It will be great to see you Graham, but don't worry about the brown bread. Egg banjos are made only with sliced white as they are NOT health food, just delicious.

Yes please and thanks Chris.

We seem to have the basic ingredients covered so I'll bring the condiments - salt, pepper , red and brown sauce. Oh and kitchen towel - nothing worse than an eggy oar.

Apparently there are some perverted souls who like Marmite with their Egg Banjo (Google it! ) - you either fancy it or not - let us know if you're one of them and I'll bring some!

Room for all, Barry and Martin. We now have 14, so could someone bring another 1/2 doz eggs and someone else another white sliced loaf?
By 'going off piste' you aren't implying you dislike egg banjos, Barry? I find that difficult to believe. I mean, the entire Royal Navy can't be wrong.
You are welcome to bring whatever you like but the idea is to make production as quick as possible, so if you want to bring extra stuff it should not require cooking please.
