The weather forecast looks OK, grey skies with F3 SW breezes. The plan is to meet the Gig Club and the ECA in the middle of the Solent for a photo op - with ten boats it should be an impressive fleet. The giggers will be rowing up to the Folly Inn for lunch.
We will be going to the Fountain Inn in the High St. Please note that your preferences were just to help the landlord with planning, and no orders have been placed - you must order when you arrive in the usual way.
We will be joining Henley Whalers who have succeeded in extracting Molly from her mooring.
The timetable is:
0800 Meet Langstone boat park to load boats on trailers
0900 Depart Langstone
1000 Arrive Lee on the Solent - Daedalus slipway opposite the Hovercraft museum. Launch boats.
1200 Arrive Cowes - Trinity Landings
Lunch in pub tba
1400 Depart Cowes
1500 Arrive Lee
1630 Return Langstone.
To try and ensure balanced boats, the crews are as follows (but this is flexible so if you want to go in a different boat let me know):
