Galley oars

Can I make a plea that only macron or wooden oars are left in the galleys. If the hatchets are needed for a specific crew can they be taken out afterwards please. The problem was highlighted today when, with an average mixed crew, it became a hard row as the wind increased. We must remember that feathering is difficult for some and physical not possible for others. We are an inclusive club.
