Hi Richard, Christine, Steve and Committee members,

While we would both love to enter the GRR, we have four work projects active at the moment and neither of us feel confident that we would be able to put in the training time to build stamina as necessary.

That and that alone is why we have chosen not to enter this year's GRR.

We opted out of working at a music festival which clashed with last years event to clear the way for this years GRR, but we really do have a lot on and don't feel that either of us would do it or fellow crew members justice.

Nonetheless, we hope to row as much as is humanly possible this year and aim to participate in HRR, Cobstock, ECA ( happy to take a boat down the night before ) Round Hayling, Isle of Wight ( Happy to take a couple of days off to make a long weekend of it to take a boat there and back etc ) Round Canvey ( happy to take a boat and crew ) , South End Pier ( happy to take a boat and crew )

We will both be able to row plenty and train throughout the year but will it will not be easy to take time of to train with a GRR crew mid week, which is what swung it for us.

RESERVE:

I am more than happy to be a reserve for the GRR Richard, if numbers don't work or should anyone suffer illness or injury at the time of the race, but it is unlikely that I could put in a lot of training mid week in the way that I have done in the past.

Hope all to order.

We are away this weekend for a week, staying in a very remote part of Snowdon National park and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hellos and Best

Andy & Wendy
