Hi All
The Great River Race is on Saturday 5th September 2020 starting at 12.50am from London Docklands and rowing up to Ham House a distance of 21.6 miles (with the tide). You can enter either just for the fun and satisfaction of taking part or to be competitive and try to come back with silverware. Usually our supervets’ team (over 60’s) comes back with silverware as have our ladies team and our under 16’s in the past. To enter at the discounted rate our entry has to be completed by mid-April.
Therefore if you would like to take part in this year’s GRR, please can you complete the form on the website (under the 'useful info' tab - GRR 2020) and return it to me (Richard Harrison) by Sunday April 5th together with a cheque/cash for your entry fee. Alternatively you can pay electronically but I still need an entry form. The adult entry fee is £77 and includes £10.50 towards the costs of towing the boats to/from London and car parking for towers. The under 18’s entry fee is £39 including a £5.75 contribution towards towing (Please make cheques payable to LCRC). Nearer the time we will be organising coach transport to London for the race which will cost aprox £25 - 30 per person. Also after 27th April, entry fees will increase by £5.50 per adult/ £3.75per child.
Further details are on the entry form on the website. Entries can only be accepted by completing the form so please don't sign up on the forum. Individual entries only can be accepted and teams will be decided by the committee.
Cheers
Richard
