Hamble River Raid, another pair of hands ?

Bill Price

Dear Cutters,

We are bringing our Winspear Skiff down to the Hamble Raid on the 19th. There will be three of us onboard ( including cox ) but I have space for one more. Normally the boat is triple sculled, but goes well as a double. Myself and a friend will scull with another pal who doesn't row as cox. However, if anyone would like to join us as the third sculler, then it would be nice for them to join us on the 19th.
It wouldn't be a Cutters entry, but the boat is all booked in and entered in the Spirit of Tradition / Classic section.
The boat is Larch but the blades are carbon, around 9 foot, and can be set up for crossed hands or not if that's what you prefer.
Although a member, I'm afraid I don't know too many of you, so its a case of first come first served on the seat if anyone is able.
All the best,
Bill Price

Thanks Bill for your post, the boat is beautiful.
Our club is at present just seeking one to two more rowers for our teams, as people have had to step down from the teams. If the respond of enthusiasm seems slow, that will be the reason.  It looks like a lovely boat to scull.

Thanks Mike, Christine.
No problems re response. We ' lost ' a couple of our regulars due work and the HRH wedding. Stay at home parties for the girls !
We'll be fine with the three of us, but spare seat is there. We will need to head of home about six or so on the day, so any club member is welcome to have a go on Dragonfly after the race should they wish.
