The race this year is set to be a classic, with fine weather and moderate winds forecast. The only disappointment is that Avery A has not entered (as yet, anyway). Though on the plus side this means the Solent galley trophy is OURS.

We will meet at 09.30 at the boat park to get the boats loaded.
Departure: 10.30. The galleys will launch at Hamble Point Marina where parking has been provided for the trailers and tow cars.
The smaller boats will launch at Hamble-le-Rice and the cars+trailers parked in the donkey field at the top of the hill as in previous years.
Registration is at 12.00 and the race starts at 13.30. There will be a hog roast, cake stand and beer to occupy you while you wait.
The cost is £8 per rower, including race fee and fuel. Any surplus will go to club funds. Club kit will be worn.
