Re: Head of the Harbour 8th March - Crews and arrangements
I will be there at 8 with a towing car.
Just need to strap down oars, pull the boats and trailer down the ramp and add the light board and be away by 8.40 latest please. .
I believe all of you should have received the email regarding arrangements for Saturday. Due to having to have the boats on the jetty for 9.00am I would ask that those rowers helping with loading the boats please meet at 7.45am, I would like the towers to be able to leave by 8.15am. I hope to have 2 of the boats on trailers before Saturday, we will have to load Langstone Lady on to her trailer.
Dee, Chris Rachel and Liz please can make sure you are at Itchenor ready to attend the first coxes briefing, Liz and Dee you will have to attend this meeting because you will be rowing when the next briefing occurs.
Please can all rowers who are available meet the boats at Itchenor slipway about 8.50am ready to help unload the boats and to row the boats round to the jetty.
Hi Vernon, I can also be there at both ends of the day unless you think you already have enough hands? I can also give a lift to anyone who needs it. Otherwise, see you at Itchenor. Heather
Re: Head of the Harbour 8th March - Crews and arrangements
Parking at Itchenor is likely to be interesting as I don't think they've had this many boats and crews there before, so might be good to get there early or at least prompt 0850 if you can and car share if not already. See you at Itchenor slip.
Well done everybody for what was a pretty challenging row today. Brilliant results with the Ladies taking away 1st (LL) and 2nd (SD), the chaps taking away a 2nd (LL) and the mixed storming in with another 1st (LL). Brilliant teamwork at either end with getting the boats loaded and unloaded. Many thank to the towers too. A great day all round.
Well done everyone for such great results.
Special thanks also to the Cox's Liz, Chris M, Matt O & Steve for getting us round the course. We couldn't have done it without you.
