Head of the Ouse - 7th September

Hi all,
       We have been invited to bring a Solent Galley to the Head of the Ouse event on 7th September.  This is a fairly new event which was originally for Pilot Gigs but was opened up to all types of fixed seat boat last year. It is a lovely place to row and the people from the Langstone Gig club who went last year really enjoyed it. The format is unusual in that mens and mixed crews race up river and then ladies crews race back down. Below is a link to an article which gives a good description of the event.

We may be able to enter more boats if we have a lot of interest but the key to this one is having volunteers who are happy to tow.
