Periodically we review our practices as a Club to ensure we are mitigating the potential for claims against the club and its insurance.
One issue that we have identified as a risk, particularly with the larger participation that we now get as a Club, is leaving bags and equipment on the quay, where they become a potential trip hazard to passers by.
On occasions there are mounds of "stuff" left on the quay, which if anyone fell over would cause us a real problem.
Can I ask when returning from rows that everyone leaves everything in the boats, until they are recovered to the boatyard and then we unload them there.
