Itchenor Sailing Club Rowing Rally Sunday 22nd March 2020 [NEW POST]

Further to the previous post regarding the Itchenor Sailing Club Rowing Rally on Sunday 22nd March 2020.

For those who would like to order lunch, please contact the Club Office on 01243 512400. Please mention that you will be attending the Rowing Rally. It might be prudent to wait to do this until the week of the event in order to check that the weather forecast indicates that the event is likely to take place.

We have the option to row over to Itchenor on the Sunday morning. If you would like to do this, the arrangements  (courtesy of Mark Taylor), will be:

- Meet at the boat park in Langstone at 08:30 (High Water is 10:47).
- Depart as quickly as possible.
- Row down harbour on the flood tide. We should be able to cross the corner of Pilsey sands on the rising tide.
- Then row up to Itchenor, still on the flood tide. We should arrive at Itchenor at around 10:00.

The intention is that two trailers will be towed round to Itchenor in order to bring boats back.

Space for the row over to Itchenor will be limited to two crews of 6 and possibly one Teifi crew of 3. Mark T and Sue L have already indicated that they would like to row over.

Can you please indicate if you would like to join the row over to Itchenor or if you will make your own way over. Can you please do this even if you have previously already posted your interest.  If you intend to drive and would be happy to bring some of the morning rowers back to Langstone, could you please indicate that too. Also, if you would be happy to tow trailers over to Itchenor or trailers/boats back, please indicate that too.

As a reminder, the Itchenor timetable is:

- Visiting boats arrive and outings 1000 onwards.
- Lunch 1230 with fellow rowers - see above.
- 1400 - 1600 more outings.

I am not sure if the open row will be cancelled on 22nd March or not but if anyone who is down for this would like to go to Itchenor then they can be excused from open row duties. We can post for open row volunteers nearer the time when we know who is going to Itchenor.
