Steve rattled my bladderack during today's very fine row to The Salterns Harvester. Many thanks for organizing Dee.
As we came upon a Langstone Cuttle. ( See Ron's pic ) I thought I knew why hordes of cuttles invade our shores at this time of year. It is of course mainly the females who come in shore to lay their eggs ( about 200 ) and shortly thereafter they sadly die. Hence the harbours are awash with them and predators such as dolphin, seals, sharks etc follow them in for din dins and the sea birds love em. Thanks Steve.
