Following concerns raised about injuries and problems in loading the two boats onto the double galley trailer, the committee has discussed the problem and agreed that the top of the double trailer will only be used when there are enough people (from other crews) to help with loading and unloading ( so at events like GRR and Morbihan) but not at other events when only a limited number of people are available. People are encouraged not to try to help lifting a galley onto the top of the trailer if it is beyond their height or physical capability. The upper level of the trailer is not to be used when other boats and crews are not present. Please be honest and if for any reason you would prefer not to help lift a galley onto the upper level of the trailer, simply say so and stand away. Additionally please don't ask or pressurise anyone who does not feel comfortable in helping to lift a galley to do so. It is very acceptable to say no in this instance
