Mid Week Row

Chris Penfold
Hi All,

This weeks row will be on Wednesday, meeting at 1345 at the Mill. High tide is 4.6 metres at about 1530.

With all this sunny weather you should of course be armed with plenty of fluids and be sure to apply plenty of sunscreen before you leave home.

I suggest a trip out to HISK and back to explore the boundaries of the harbour, which should be a couple of hours. Plus, if people have the time and inclination, a call into Emsworth for refreshments.

Please post your intentions here so we can get an idea of numbers.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris. You might have not been told. Gladys is in marina. She needs to be returned to mooring. Geoff

Ironic given the weather, but I have aquired a streaming cold with attendant cough, so will not be coming out to play today.

Mr Partridge has very kindly stepped in to the breach and will co-ordinate.

Selfishly, I arranged the row for today because it was, at the time, the most convenient for me. However since my first post, I have learned that Sallyport is hors de combat, the other two Galleys are on educational duties with Mike and Elaine, one Tiefi is in need of a gate being fitted (could be done by any competent person wielding a spanner) and Gladys is moored at Northney..........

But the weather is glorious, so enjoy whatever you decide on.

Regards,

Chris

Very sorry about your condition, Chris and get well soon. BTW, choosing the time of a row for your own convenience isn't selfishness, it's the organiser's traditional perk...
Our main mission today is to bring Gladys back to her mooring. If a fifth rower emerges (anyone?) , we will all go to Northney, row somewhere (possibly Emsworth) and return to Langstone.
If there are only four of us, we will take out a Teifi and Kittiwake, go to Northney and tow Gladys back. Once she is on her mooring, we will go out for a quick thrash.
See you all this afternoon!

Thanks, Barry. Tim had noticed.
We will meet at the Mill and form a consensus, then...
