So... This week morning tides neaps giving way to springs however we have a challenge, Storm Freya, and Jolly Roger , Sallyport and Gladys currently in Itchenor all needing to be berthed in Langstone  

I am proposing that crews go by car to Itchenor and we row back to the mill slip, potentially windy and possibly wet. Plan is to row out on the slack to ebb tide with suffcient water to navigate the sands if the winds are favourable. Take the lee from Hayling and then relish the effort required to get back to the slip on the ebb tide.

Now the tricky bit is how many folk ? I do not like disappointing peoplebut I need committed folk who will definitely turn out . We cannot accomodate less than whole crews and we need to crew 1 - 3 boats . So I will list the crews below and arrange transport to Itchenor
( requesting that someone will give me a lift back after the row)

Steve...looking at the forecasts Tuesday and Thursday are the only real options I think. I can’t do Thursday but Miles and I can do Tuesday. If we aimed to set out from Itchenor at 1000 we could be over Pilsea Sands at HW and back the pub for 1200.
