LATEST UPDATE:-
Wind predictions have been inexorably climbing for today's row. Currently F5/6, gusting F7. At a sea temperature of 6 degrees C survival time on immersion could be as low as 3 minutes in these conditions.
Not a risk I'm prepared to take with you lovely rowers!
RELUCTANTLY, THE PLANNED ROW IS CANCELLED.
I shall be coming down to the Mill at 11 am in case anyone doesn't get this update.
Update:-
The weather seems to have marched in about 24 hours ahead of the original predictions, so now Wednesday and Thursday are best solutions. Friday and the weekend ar rubbish! Accordingly I'm going to suggest you sign up for
A) Chris' Wednesday row at 10 am (PLEASE SIGN UP ON HIS THREAD). ....or
B) this post, for Thursday at 11 am. (In which case please sign up below). .....or
C) both!
Thursday will be overcast at least, and likely to be gusty, with temperatures around 7 deg.C, so come dressed appropriately. Likely destination will be Emsworth if weather permits, and rowers are so inclined.
HW about 1310, range 3.5m, wind F4/5, gusting F6.
Please sign up as soon as possible in the usual manner.
Please check this post for any last minute amendments or cancellations.
Original post:-
At the moment both these days (thurs/Friday) look to be OK for a start at about 11 am. I'll update this post on Tuesday when there is a clearer indication of the weather for these two days.
DON'T POST UNTIL THIS FORUM THREAD IS UPDATED AND A SPECIFIC DAY SELECTED, PLEASE!
P.S. If anyone wishes to organise a row on another day (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday), please feel free to do so - and post on a separate thread.
