The forecast for Wednesday looks surprisingly nice - light NW winds and temperatures up to 8C. After this weekend it will feel positively tropical. So I suggest we meet at 12.00 and go to Marina Bar for lunch.

I would dearly love to join this row.

I have a problem or three i'm afraid.

I had a minor operation on my neck at the end of last week and have some rather tight stitches to contend with.

I could cox, passenger, row light and probably scull, but I don't have the mobility in my neck to go full throttle.

I'm fine health wise, but am a tad hamstrung?

What do you reckon?

That's why I wanted to give you the heads up as opposed to rocking up and being a burden.

I'm fine in most respects but don't have as much freedom of movement in my neck as I would like.

I will completely understand if I am unable to " blend in " with the crews of the day.
