My sincere apologies

Matt O’Neill
This post was updated on .
Dear Mike and all,

Having had a barrage of calls and texts this morning regarding my comments on yesterday’s post about parking in Langstone High Street, I wish to apologise.
Some of my wording was a little heavy handed, and I am sure there were better ways to communicate my point.

I have listened to the various arguments for and against.
As much as I still believe the High Street is a public road and therefore free for all to park in, I will of course back down and honour the Cutters request to park elsewhere.

As I said in my original posting, I was asked to talk on behalf of a group of other rowers who were disillusioned by this too, and would suggest and recommend to those members, that they follow suit and park elsewhere as well. At the end of the day if we were to lose the boat park over this argument, then it won't matter where we park – there will be no club!

Please accept my sincere apologies, as I do love being a part of and am a proud member of the Langstone Cutters, and it was certainly never my intention to offend anyone, or have our boat park and club put at risk.

Kind Regards
Matt O’Neill

Re: My sincere apologies

Well done Matt for the apology , it takes a bigger person to apologise then to complain , as I posted on the other thread , I'm lucky enough to get lifts from husband but on the rare occasion I need to drive , The Ship is where I shall park .
