Ideally we need a vehicle near the boat park so we can recover cars afterwards

Pete, the possible problem with your plan is getting to the boat, which will be afloat. It might be easier to join the row and take Gladys over to tow Mabel back.

I was going down at 1.30 just to untie cover ropes. They cannot be fully released until the boat is floating so original plan to meet at 3pm is fine by me. Sue

Thanks for all offers of help and volunteers.
Final solution allowing Michael to organise his row more easily:
Me
Sue
Tim
Rachel
Marilyn
Sue and I will meet at North Common at 1.30 and the others when ready.
Will be a bit early but will be able to check her over and make ready then relax with a coffee or go to a nearby cafe before floating off about 3 hopefully.
Then have a row and back to Langstone.
