Dear all,
Just a quick note of thanks to both Christine and Les for bringing our trophies into the Royal Oak this week. The cabinet looks great (glass one opposite our club board) with a good variety of different awards in all shapes and sizes. However it's now nearly full, as there are and always will be, bottles of wine in the cabinet too. So should any of you have any others to bring in, please can we replace what is already there rather than adding to them, as we don't want to look too much like we're taking the mickey and lose the cabinet all together! Also, it might be nice if someone with more knowledge of the trophies and races than myself, could put together a small write up about them. Either a small piece that could sit in front of each trophy, or maybe one big piece about us and the races etc. that could sit in the cabinet in a frame (don't forget the cabinet is double sided), as the engraving on some of them is hard to read....Mike's hall of fame might be good for this?! Next time you're all in the pub, don't forget to take a look. Cheers, Matt |
