River Ems Raid report - Lady Damaged, Crew safe

Steve Woods
Ahoy,

Once again Maritime History is made this 24th day Of February 2016 in the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Admiral Minesapint Goodall at the invitation of Lord Raglan led the fleet to check out the brew and fare  at Fitzroy's favourite public house. The voyage was pleasant with light winds and a sighting of Seals, alas no harpoons this day. Honours First class go to shipmate Jolly Dee for her first attempt at coxing. Having navigated the tidal Emm's the fleet docked and immediately commandeered the public bar to complete the mission. Once sated the crews readied the vessels, alas the silent, invisible enemy had struck, Langstone Lady of the Cutters fleet was severely holed and taking on water. Prompt action by Long Hair silver saved the day and she made it to dry dock. The remaining vessels made way and at a pace returned via the shore on velocipedes and horseless carriages bringing a wagon. The silent, invisible enemy struck again this time puncturing a Dunlop on the wagon, ever resourceful the Cutters replaced rapidly and returned Lady to her home dock for careening and into the familiar hands of the boatswain.

I would like to commend the cutters who like the crewmates they are supported and sorted post haste.

Suffice to say beware of mooring on life's rocky and littered shores, choose buoyancy at all times.

Row on me hearties

Shipwreck Steve
