Rowing Tomorrow Saturday 3rd October

Colin McPhee
 Dear All

Just been over the list . We have 13 rowers who have signed up . So I am thinking of Sweare Deep, One Solent Galley and a  Tife

 Tife

Colin (C)
Nigel (S)
Frances (1)

Sweare Deep

Richard H ( C)
Marion (S)
Liz W (3)
James Griffin (2)
Sue Loveridge (1)

Solent Galley

Jane Davy ( C)
Elizabeth ( S)
Claire Tomlinson (3)
Marilyn Rogers ( 2)
Joan (1)

These are provisional positions in the boats . If any one the single oared boats wants to swap and go in a Tife please let me know and I will move people before we meet . The same with the cox but we need to have an agreed place for everyone before we meet up . I will be checking the Forum up to 11.30am  tomorrow.

I thought we would embark on a circular course to Marker and then past the visitors pontoon at Emsworth and then back though the Islands . We can stop on the visitors pontoon to change the cox if we take sufficient cleaning and sanitising equipment to wipe down the oars, seats ropes etc

Any Queries please let me know

Regards and sorry for the lateness of this

Regards

Colin

Colin and gang, is it possible to put Sallyport back on the single road trailer after the row Saturday? I can then move her safely to the Marina for Wednesdsy and Thursdays Get up and Go! Sessions...

Cheers...

Hi Colin

Apologies for the lateness in this but is it OK if myself and Jenny come along?

We can either make up a third crew of 5 or take out the other Teifi. We are equally happy with both.

Are launch times being staggered btw?

Thanks

Dave

Rowers may not yet be aware that all of the local water quality monitoring stations have reported sewage discharges  (due to storm water excess to capacity of local treatment works) !
I would suggest that covid hygiene washing of oars, foot plates etc. is done with our local stream water today, and not with seawater!

....and try not to put seawater wet hands near mouth or eyes!
