SATURDAY The " Out with the old and in with the new " Excursion Row 10.30
Hi All,
The forecast currently predicts that it will be mainly cloudy with a twenty per cent chance of a shower.
Wind F 3/4 South Westerly.
Meet at 10.30
We will likely enjoy a good row down to HISC and back with only a brief rest for water and change over etc.
Taking into account that the Isle of Wight row is looming on the horizon, it would be good to use this one as more of a training row, albeit a fun one, with pyramiding and bursts of firm sprinting.
Accordingly, a good steady thrash with changes every twenty minutes will be the order of the day.
It will feel chilly and we will all need plenty of layers.
You may like to bring your life preserver as the water temperature is currently 9C according to Cambermet.
PS If we all work hard enough, we may even have time to pop into Emsworth on the way back for a pint, as an added bonus.

There is always room for cake on a Cutters row Teri.
I took my slice to the office yesterday morning and merrily munched away on it while slurping on a nice mug of tea. See you Saturday.x
We can't promise a Teifi as an option unless numbers work accordingly.
First and foremost we need crews to fill the larger boats and if we have an overflow, a Teifi is of course fine.
The other important consideration is to pair our stronger rowers with some of our newer members.
I will of course do my best, but in fairness we have to balance out the crews in terms of strength, experience and ability to ensure that everyone gets an enjoyable row.
Finally, the thinking behind this row is to get a bit of training under our belts in the bigger boats as i think it unlikely that a Teifi will be an option for the IOW row given the current weather forecast.
