Saturday Breakfast Row June 29 0800

Saturday is set to be sunny but a bit breezy, with high tide at 0930. I would like to have breakfast at the Kench - does anybody know the rules about picnicking there? The alternative is the harbour mouth.
Breakfast will be sausage sandwiches with English mustard. Ketchup is allowed, grudgingly, but no brown sauce under any circs.
We will meet at 0800, returning around 1100 I think.

Sorry everyone, for production reasons, it is Sausage Saturday. I am thinking in terms of O’Hagan’s Polish sausages that are about 90 per cent garlic...

It will be good to see you. Veggie sausages are fine as long as you don’t mind them going in with the rest. I hope that’s OK.

Judge your tide height carefully to land - mud-free - on the east side by the footpath ( nearest to legal).
Don't forget - NO Samphire on the sausages (chipotle or otherwise!) as that is illegal there!!!  ***
W-I-W-T
P.S. If you manage to get near the road, to try out the nice bench we fixed up there, please watch out for the barbed wire (not all of it actually on the fence) strung across the central spit. This is there to protect a very bird-sensitive area where you will not be welcome to land on.

***PPS If you want to try it you can try this-

Yes please Chris.  How could anyone resist kielbasa!    Nigel's welcome to his samphire - I ate far too much of it when I was broke and living on a wooden boat on a mud berth … and before it became fashionable!

We are 12 for tomorrow so two boats (though obviously we could do more if more people want to come.)
I will bring the cooking apparatus so we will need the following:
Four people to bring a pack of sausages each (plus Richard with his veggiebangers)
Two people to bring a sliced white loaf each
One person to bring spreadable butter (have you noticed it is just called ‘spreadable’ nowadays?)
One person to bring mustard (preferably English but could be whole grain Dijon or similar).
Volunteers please, but don’t all feel you have to bring stuff. I have only just finished off the sweeties I had to bring back from the IoW row...
Also, bring your own flask with your preferred breakfast fluid.
