Hi Everyone,
The weather for Saturday looks good with 21C temperature and light WNW winds (10 mph) forecast at 1700 hrs.
There is a decent amount of water with a tide of 4.15 m at 1828 hrs. so I am planning a turn round Marker, sortie to Emsworth to see if they have any ale left at the Bluebell, followed by repairing back to Langstone. Note that sunset is at 2120 hrs.
Meet at Millstream Cottage at 1645 hrs. prompt to prepare the boats, launch as soon as feasible and proceed down the Chichester Harbour to Marker. Assuming there is a reasonable number of boats we may do some leapfrogging on the way down (one boat rows light, others power past and then they reverse roles). If this sounds too much like hard work we will just row down there!
Please post to indicate your interest in participating. Last post guaranteed to be considered for inclusion in the row is 1100 hrs. on Saturday. If you post after that or turn up at 1645 hrs. we will try to include you but no guarantees - sorry!
Call or text if you would like to chat to me about this row. Mobile no. below.

OK, we seem to have 13 signed up as follows:
Ian Maclennan
Les Goodall
Lesley Kent
Mo Evans
Jane Davy
Claudia and her GRR crew (total 6 people?)
Nigel Armstrong
Barry Scott
The plan is to take two Solent Galleys and a Teifi Skiff. This will require the passenger from Claudia's crew to join the other Galley and two of the above to join me in the Teifi Skiff. Could you please let me know if you would be prepared to row or cox in a Teifi with me?
See everyone at the boat park at 1645 hrs. prompt to prepare the boats for launching. Please let me know immediately if you see any problems with this plan.
Thanks! Ian
