Slipper new boat blessing 18th April

Good Morning All, Mark has invited any rowers to the blessing of their new boat on the 18th April. Please see the message below for more information.

At ESSC, we have had the good fortune of obtaining a second Celtic Longboat having started a rowing section in October 2024. On Saturday 18th April, we plan to hold a blessing, naming and launch ceremony and would welcome any rowers from your clubs if they wish to attend. You would be welcome to row to ESSC or come by land.

We will offer teas and coffees and the bar will be open from Noon.  The schedule of the day will be as follows:-

12:00 - Visiting  rowers to arrive by water or road
12:00 - Teas and Coffee available.
12:30 - Blessing, naming and Launching ceremony in car park
12:45 - try out rowing in new boat
12:50 - High Water (4.9m)
13:30 - Event close - any visitors welcome to join us in the bar.

Myself and Jenny are down as row organisers that day and Mark has kindly agreed that the whole excursion row can attend.
