Solent Galley relaunches at Hamble

Solent Galley Avery A has been refurbished and renamed Elephant, after the old naval shipyard where she is based. She will be launched at Land’s End hard, Bursledon, on Thursday at 12.30 and all Cutters are welcome. I will be going from Emsworth at about 12.00 so if anyone wants a lift, post here.
Glyn Foulkes has carved her a brilliant new figurehead:

Here's a lovely piece of synchronicity Chris - remember the jest about Elephant being the only boat finished on time since Noah's Ark?   .............. just doing my diary and noted that today is traditionally, the date Noah's Ark came to rest as the floods abated!!!     Lovely Elephant!    Lucky Hamble rowers - she's going to be a fast boat to beat!
