Sunday Lunch in Cowes

We will be going to the Fountain Inn in Cowes High Street again for lunch. To make it as easy as possible for them to serve us before we have to head off home, I need to send the landlord a list of people’s preferences. It does not have to be complete, but he tells me the more information he has the better. However, he does not want us to book online individually as it gets terribly confused.
Please consult the pub menu here and let me know what you fancy. I will send the list over.
Incidentally, many of you may recognise the landlord, Kevin - he was at the Royal Oak for a short time recently when the regular manager was unwell.

Posted in the original thread....
ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUNDAY JAN 5 COWES ROW

We will take all four boats, but please be aware that Mabel has the old wooden oars and crutches while the gates are being modified.
The timetable is:
0800 Meet Langstone boat park to load boats on trailers
0900 Depart Langstone
1000 Arrive Lee on the Solent - Daedalus slipway opposite the Hovercraft museum. Launch boats.
1200 Arrive Cowes - Trinity Landings
Lunch in pub tba
1400 Depart Cowes
1500 Arrive Lee
1630 Return Langstone.

The following are on the list - please check and let me know if i have missed you off. The row is now full.
Me
Miles
Joan
Ron
Cheryl
Michael
Lesley
Tina
Sue
Martin
Alison
Elaine
Jane
Shanaz
Henning
Diane
Rachel
Steve
Marion
Mark Savill
Phil
Nigel
Dee
Tessa

Nigel and I will be towing, so we need another volunteer to tow please.
Please bring a life jacket - club ones are available on demand.
The Gig Club will be rowing from another slipway in Lee with, I think, three or four boats and the ECA will be coming in Speculation and Laura Jane, so it will be a very impressive fleet out on the Solent. Sadly it looks as though the Henley Whalers, who started this tradition, will not be there as the Thames is in spate and their boat Molly is inaccessible on her towpath mooring, but this may change.
