Dear Club, Organisation, Group and Individual; I am writing to ask if you would forward; post; share; promote or support this event and let your Region; Club; Members and Friends be aware of this great opportunity to taste a new, potential Olympic Sport (2024/2028); rowing fast, safe and exhilarating boats on the open sea.
Those who take part will get the chance to try a range of FISA Coastal/BR Offshore boats from singles, doubles and quads made by 4 different manufacturers; Lite Boats; Eurodiffusions; Swift and Ave Rowing. The event takes place at Northney, Marina Hayling Island from 10.00-16.00 (with a follow up 'race course' programme on 11 May 2019 in Hayling Bay).
Attached you will find a poster that outlines the 7th April event. People who attend will be using boats provided by the Row for Life Centre (Studland Bay); Dolphin Rowing Club, (Emsworth); British Rowing; the Royal Navy; the Offshore Rowing Academy (Northney); Ave Rowing and Swift.
We will be rowing in the beautiful waters of Chichester Harbours AONB; and on hand to help those interested, will be a number of experienced sculling, coastal and offshore rowing experts, coaches; trainers and rowers. Also with Jenny Glass - World Coastal Championship 2018 Vancouver competitor - currently ranked #19 in the world.
We hope you will support this initiative to promote, introduce and guide rowers, experienced or new; old or young to try out this exciting variant in sliding seat, coastal/offshore rowing.
