A note for Geoff, that today when I went out to row in Millie I noticed that the starboard hand (light blue pair, wooden oar) collar had a significant crack in it. It may have been like that for some time, but I only just noticed it today.

Update:May 2021
This has now been rewelded together, and strengthened with glue, at the same time as the wooden oars have been mended and totally revarnished and painted. After one month the fix seems to be holding!
