DeGraaf (Gladys’) trailer has now been fitted with 2 new rollers, and is available for use.

Mabel’s trailer will be worked on when next Mabel is on the water.
Please note that this trailer is not to be used for road use until the wheel bearing issues have been resolved.
If anyone has ANY information as to how the hub caps were removed, and why the bearings were incorrectly  adjusted, please let me know. It is vital for everyone’s safety.

Mabel’s trailer now has the new castor/ roller assembly fitted, so is available for use.

NOTE!!! -   During this work it was found that the degree of rust damage found was MUCH more extensive than previously thought - especially at the rear end where salt immersion has caused significant damage which needs to be addressed!
I strongly recommend that a) this is addressed,
and b) that IMMEDIATE RESTRICTION of its use be mandated.
When laden it should NOT be driven in a manner that overly stresses the frame, and a maximum speed limit of 50 mph be applied. i.e go gently over sleeping policemen, potholes etc. and don’t be tempted by an open motorway…!
