Dear Cutters,
I am organising a rowing tour to the Gulf of Morbihan in France to take part in a traditional rowing festival from Monday 27th May to Sunday 2nd June next year.
The home page for the event sums it up like this ….
“More than a thousand traditional boats, divided into fleets, sail or row every day and vary their stops between ports and anchorages to create a huge sea party animating the entire Gulf of Morbihan. It is the unique geography and the physical characteristics of this "small sea" (its islands and islets, the narrow gully which separates it and protects it from the high seas, the tides, the currents and countercurrents ) which determine nautical program of the event. “

This won’t be a cheap tour as we need to cover the cost of towing the boats and transporting them on the ferry, which shared between us will be about £70 each. Then you will need to pay for your own ferry or flight plus accommodation and food. There is accommodation available in small local hotels and transport to and from the boats each day. Details will be published early next year but until then I don’t know how much this will cost.
We plan to take the two Galleys and so would need 12 crew.
Please post if you are interested and can commit to the dates
