Hi Ron, Cheryl & Jane,
Apologies for cancellation, but four up in a Tiefi or similar would likely be wet, cold and hard work.
It's a shame that we were one short as the wind is easing and risk of rain is minimal. Hey Ho.
I am unable to make either Wednesday, which also is looking dry with lighter winds, or Thursday with even lighter winds but which suggests an increasing risk of rain, from a front piling in from the Atlantic.
Hope to see you soon.
Best
Andy
Hello everyone
Not to be confused with John's official mid week row, I am suffering from rowing withdrawal and fancy getting out Tuesday morning.
Forecast is a breezy south westerly 5 with some lively gusts. Mainly dry with a 20 to 40% chance of rain.
HW is around 10.30
Meet after the rush hour at 9am for a quick launch and getaway.
Back arouind 12 midday.
Plan would be to head Eastwards down the channel and assess what options are safely viable according to weather conditions.
Thereafter, assess whether a run to Emsworth is safely viable, with particular consideration being given to the return leg being mainly into the wind.
Waterproofs are ESSENTIAL for protection from spray etc.
Life jacket is advisory.
Best
Andy
