Here are my suggestions for crews.
Open ( this used to be called Mens but British Rowing now use Open and anyone can row in this ) cox Dee Chris W Vernon Matt Pete R Ladies cox Steve F Dee Liz W Jane D Jackie Harper Mixed cox Matt Steve F Vernon Liz W Steph Saville Below is a link to the course information from Mark Course for Saturday All the details from Mark are below. You need to click on the link below and register and pay please. You will see that he has suggested that you tow the boat round. Could someone volunteer to do this please? The following clubs have been invited to join our Mini Regatta at Emsworth Slipper Sailing Club. This Regatta is for Celtic Longboats only. As our club is not yet one year old, we are just inviting those clubs at the Hampshire side of Chichester Harbour. ie. LCRC, CRAC, ESC . This event will be very much a trial event to see that we can plan a regatta correctly before we hold our open Celtic Winter Series Regatta within the 3 Harbours community of 1st March 2025 The timing of the regatta on Saturday 5th October is as below. We propose CRAC and LCRC road trailer their boats to ESSC, we will reserve space in the Club Car Park on the Quay for trailers to be stored. We assume ESC will be rowing their craft round. There will be • Open Race - anyone • Women’s Race – 4 women • Mixed Race – at least 2 women Each race will be approximately 2miles overall including at least one buoy turn. However, weather conditions may cause this to change on the day. On registration on the day, we will ask for ages of all rowers to feed into the Ouse Yardstick data. The entry fee (rower or cox) is £5.00. Please pay this prior to the event by registering at the following link, (you will need to set up a userid and password to do this. ) https://www.emsworthslippersc.org.uk/event/rowing-open-to-all-8 Please bring two VHF radios with you and tune to channel 08 (The sailors will be using channel P4). Reason for two radios • One for cox of boat • One for Rowing Captain to ensure crews are on pontoon or at start as race control will give orders via VHF. A decision, based on forecasted wind speeds will determine if the event is not going ahead. The ESSC rowing captain will email other club rowing captains on Friday evening if the event is to be cancelled . Schedule for Day will be:- • 11:00 LCRC and CRAC arrive by road and launch boats at bottom of South Street, place road trailers in Club Car Park and row boats to conservancy pontoon and tie up all boats. ESC, please row round and tie up on conservancy pontoon. • Pre-race Food will be available from Flintstones (Bring to function room of The Club). We will have complimentary tea and coffee available. • 12:00 Crew /Course Briefing inc announce gate codes for pontoon Times of races (50 minute window to get from pontoon to start, run race and return to pontoon) • 12:30 – Announce Open Crew to be at pontoon to row to start for o 12:45 Open Race start • 13:20 – Announce Women crews to be at pontoon to row to start o 13:35 Women’s Race start • 14:10 – Announce Mixed crews to be at pontoon to row to start o 14:25 Mixed Race start • 15:00 Mixed race crews row from finish line to beach to trailer up • 15:30 Sausage baps or similar available in Function Room. Please note, this is self-funded. Trophies presented Please can you give indication of how many from your club would stay for post-race food and how many of those are vegetarian or vegan |

Hi Rachel
I am towing to Hamble on Wednesday so it would probably make sense for me to tow to Emsworth too unless someone else volunteers. (Easier to park a car than my motorhome) It would help if we could leave the boat on its trailer after Hamble. Would it make sense to take both CRAC and LCRC boats on a double trailer? Happy to stay after if it fits with returning the boat(s). I will try the vegetable quiche please. Pete |

Veggie/ no cheese please Pam
Thanks |

I'm sorry Dee, the savoury food is being organised by a small number of rowers, as opposed to our caterers, so we can't be so flexible. There will be complimentary biscuits and cakes, and a much wider choice of food from Flintstone's.

Hi Rachel
I have registered and paid. It asked for a reference number for bank transfer but I could not see one so I put my name and LCRC. Hope this has been acceptable. Does anyone want a lift there if so I can pick up in layby rather than meet in boat park. Thanks Steph |
